Breast Care Unit Prothesis Room Makeover
We’re delighted to share the transformation of the prosthesis room within the Breast Care Unit at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Before and After: A Meaningful Transformation
Take a look at the incredible before and after photos to see how this space has been completely reimagined.

Previously a very clinical environment, this room plays an important role in patient care. It is often used for sensitive and emotional conversations between patients and clinical staff. Thanks to charitable funding, it has now been transformed into a calm, welcoming space – helping patients feel more comfortable, supported, and at ease during some of their most difficult moments.
Made Possible by Our Supporters
This refurbishment has been made possible thanks to the generosity of those who supported our most recent Gala Ball. Your donations have directly contributed to creating a more compassionate environment for patients when they need it most – thank you.
Special Thanks
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to those who helped bring this project to life:
- Bosom Pals – for kindly donating a table and flowers to brighten the space
- ASDA Milton Keynes – for providing a regular supply of tissues and teabags
- Jacqui Kenyon and the Breast Care Team at MKUH – for their passion, dedication and commitment to improving patient experience
Making a Difference Together
This project is a wonderful example of how charitable donations can have a real and lasting impact on patient care – enhancing hospital environments and supporting people through incredibly important moments.
Together, you are helping to make a difference at Milton Keynes University Hospital when it matters most. 💚
