Thanks to kind donations made to Milton Keynes Hospital Charity, we’ve been able to fund a new Counselling Room in the Neonatal Unit (NNU) at Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH).
This is a private space in the unit where a dedicated counsellor can talk with parents and help them through really difficult times.
Diane Gray, Senior Sister, Neonatal Unit at MKUH said:
Our aim was to create a less clinical, calm area for our parents and families to access without being too far away from their baby.
They can speak with our Family Counsellor, Psychologist or member of the team to support them through their often-challenging neonatal journeys.
Thanks to charitable funding, this vision has been made possible and the feedback has been amazing. So thank you.
Sandro Parias from Parias Construction and Interiors (PCI) was delighted to support the project when his team stepped in to decorate the room at no cost.
This is a department we’ve completed a number of projects in previously. After seeing the great work Diane and the team do every day, it was great to be able to help give something back for this particular project.
