Hospital IT Department use their super powers for the Cancer Centre Appeal

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s the super IT department from Milton Keynes University Hospital, raising money for the Charity’s Cancer Centre Appeal.

Last week on Thursday 27th September, the 60 strong team organised their own Comin Con Day at their offices in Central Milton Keynes, an idea that was formulated by their senior management.

There was plenty of activity going on with fancy dress, food, drinks and a BBQ. Each team member was asked to make a contribution in return, with all money raised going to the Cancer Centre Appeal.

Oliver Chandler, Deputy Head of IT said: “We wanted to organise a fun and exciting event for our team, and to support the Cancer Centre Appeal which means a lot to us. I was really pleased with the effort everyone went to!”

Jenny Howells, Senior Community and Events Fundraiser at Milton Keynes Hospital Charity said: “I was so excited when the team told me their plans for the day – it is amazing to see staff get behind our appeal, and what a creative event! It was clear to see their team pulling together, and it was such a great team building activity too.”
