On Friday 13th December, Milton Keynes Hospital Charity is inviting you to put on your best jangly jumper, tinselly t-shirt, or decorative dress and help raise money for the Cancer Centre Appeal.
The Appeal, which was launched last summer, will raise money to enhance patient experience at the new cancer centre at Milton Keynes University Hospital which is due to open in the New Year.
Christmas Jumper Day is an annual event organised by the charity and encourages people to wear something festive and make a donation of just £1 to take part. This simple and jolly fundraiser can be done with your school, workplace, or group of friends.
Jenny Howells, Senior Fundraiser at Milton Keynes Hospital Charity said: “I can’t wait for Christmas Jumper Day, it’s such a lovely event and so easy to get involved with. Anything festive counts, even your snowman socks or holly head-boppers!
This is a fun event, but it is important to remember that we are raising money for a very serious cause that will make a real difference to the 4,000 people who are diagnosed with this terrible disease in Milton Keynes each year. We would love as many people as possible to join us on Friday 13th December, so please get in touch if you’d like to get festive with us”.
