Fun runner Allicia raises funds for Neonatal Unit

Every year the neonatal unit at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust looks after more than 3,000 babies born too early, too small or very ill.

Allicia Maclean’s son Finn was born in January and due to issues with his lungs, spent the first few days of his life in the neonatal unit. Allicia says:

“Eight months on and Finn is doing amazing, all thanks to the paediatric doctor who could see there was something wrong with him in those first hours of life and the care he received from the neonatal unit.

“I wanted to find a way to say thank you and so decided to run a 5k in September to raise money for the unit.”

From taking part in the run, Allicia has raised £370 for our neonatal unit fund.

Donations and fundraising are so important to us – they help fund extra special items of equipment and comfort items for both babies and their parents –and we are grateful to everyone who support our charity in this way.
