Fossil go green for Cancer Centre Appeal

Staff from Fossil Group have chosen to ‘Be Seen in Green’ and raise money for Milton Keynes Hospital Charity’s Cancer Centre Appeal.

The Wolverton based company dedicated themselves to a week-long, green-themed fundraising and volunteering extravaganza, celebrating the charity’s colour green.

During the week-long event, Fossil raised an impressive £900 for the appeal through baking, selling raffle tickets, serving mocktails and even litter picking on-site at the hospital.

Kirsty Randolph, Sales Coordinator at Fossil Group said: “All the volunteers from Fossil were really excited to be supporting such an important cause that will help to improve lives for so many within the community. At Fossil Group, we are lucky enough to be able to take days off to volunteer and get involved in a range of important causes within the local area.”

Jenny Howells, Senior Community and Events Fundraiser at Milton Keynes Hospital Charity said: “It has been amazing to work with Fossil, and I was so pleased when they said yes to Be Seen in Green! Their wonderful volunteers have helped us to raise vital funds for the new cancer centre, as well as helped us spread the word about the appeal.

“I’m delighted that this will be an ongoing partnership to help us towards our goal of raising the final £2.5million needed to complete the project. They are helping us to transform local cancer care – which is truly remarkable. Thank you Fossil!”

‘Be Seen In Green’ is just another way people and organisations can support the Cancer Centre Appeal, with the simple concept of giving any fundraising a green theme.
