Enchanted Ball set to raise thousands for Cancer Centre Appeal

A group of friends and family members have come together to raise funds for the new cancer centre at Milton Keynes University Hospital.

Friends and family of the late Irene Crosswell, who was instrumental in establishing the existing Macmillan Unit at Milton Keynes University Hospital, have come together to support the cancer centre appeal with an Enchanted Ball.

The Ball, which takes place on November 9 2019, will be a glamorous night of dinner, dancing and entertainment at The Woburn Golf Club.

Rosalind Ainscow, one of the group members said: “Our Enchanted Ball is already a sell-out, which is just fantastic! Thank you to all those coming who will help us reach our target of £40,000.”

On supporting the cancer centre appeal, Rosalind goes on to say: “Our new cancer centre will touch everyone in Milton Keynes, and 1 in 2 of us will be affected by cancer.

“Milton Keynes deserves this purpose-built centre, with a capacity to grow as Milton Keynes grows. Our passionate fundraisers will make it as good as it possibly can be. We know this can happen if everyone in Milton Keynes pulls together to achieve this outstanding health facility.”

The group are asking businesses to support them, with donations of prizes for the charity raffle or to sponsor reception drinks, entertainment etc. If you can support them in any way, please contact rosalind.ainscow@gmail.com.
